What Writing A Book Has Taught Me

I’ve learned that discipline often shows up when inspiration doesn’t, and that writing is just as much about showing up as it is about knowing what to say. The words don’t always flow easily. But when I stay consistent, they come.
I’ve also learned that your voice—the truest, deepest part of it—gets shaped in the quiet. It grows in the spaces where you’re listening, not just speaking. And maybe most importantly, I’ve learned that God shows up when you do. He’s in the pause, the rewrite, the margin, the messy middle. So even when it feels uncertain, I keep writing anyway.
