A Word From God

The day I turned in my final manuscript, I went for a walk to clear my mind. I left my phone at home and silently asked God to speak to me. Towards the end of the walk, God put Matthew 25 on my heart. I couldn’t remember what the passage said so I made a mental note to read it when I got back home. It was the parable of the talents, which illustrates wasted opportunity. That as God’s servants, we are given different levels of responsibility, and different natural abilities. And that all who are faithful will be fruitful to some degree, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” That’s what He told the servants a bajillion years ago and that’s what He told me last week. Rest assured He’s watching your obedience too and silently cheering you on. If you’ve been faithful with a few things; He will put you in charge of many things.
