Flowers

“The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.” My study bible expands on this verse by stating, “The permanence of God’s word guarantees against any deviation from the divine plan. He has promised Jerusalem’s deliverance through His coming, so it must happen that way.” I love resting in that truth.

I’ve curated an assortment of things below, daily reminders to lean on God’s strength instead of our own. That if we don’t practice real faith in God, then we are like the fading flowers, beautiful but subject only to the here and now. By contrast, when we believe that God is who He says He is, we grow stronger and more vibrant and eventually we will be given a new life.
