My Flexible Summer Routine With Kids

Jun 26, 2024

Relishing in the last few weeks of vacation and down time with my little family, I’m slowly starting to get back into the upbeat summer routine I started in May. Working at home with the girls full time, I don’t have hourly structure or strict schedules for them to follow. However, we’ve naturally created a few patterns that we love. Beginning our morning routines with breakfast, then a nature walk, playing at the park, and individual workouts at home. After lunch, the girls read in their “book nook” for at least thirty minutes. Later on in the day, they work on something engaging that keeps their brains active. Late at night, we’ll read a devotional or a Bible story. I like this flexible schedule because at some point each day, we get a balance of outdoor time, mental wellness, physical strengthening, and spiritual growth. Wherever you are in the world, I hope you’re enjoying the changing of the seasons and the growth available to you around every corner.
