When spring arrives, I crave meals that are bright, nourishing, and simple. A protein smoothie bowl has become my latest morning ritual. Averi and I have been perfecting our protein smoothie bowl recipes, using a variation of fruits and protein powders (depending on what we have in the fridge and pantry.) We’re loving this strawberry banana version right now.

Ingredients:
- 1 frozen banana (the riper, the better—this is where the creaminess lives)
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 scoop of protein powder
- ¼–⅓ cup unsweetened almond milk (start small; thickness matters)

- Pulse first, then blend low and slow, aiming for spoon-thick, not drinkable.
- Scoop into a bowl and top with sliced strawberries, bananas, unsweetened coconut flakes, chia seeds, hemp hearts, and a drizzle of honey.
