Independence Day style can feel festive without being too on-the-nose. This year, I paired a striped pant with a nautical top to give a nod to those effortless summer nights that Americans love so much.

Red, white, and blue hues are always a classic style choice for Independence Day, but they don’t have to feel like a costume. You can add personality in the details, like I did with hints of marine-life. The whole look felt a little bit retro, a little bit eclectic, and a whole lot of playfulness and wearability.
